Not at all. Toast works entirely in the browser. Guests simply scan the QR code with their phone camera and they are taken straight to your upload page. No app downloads, no account creation, no friction whatsoever.
When you create an event, Toast generates a unique QR code linked to your gallery. You can print it on table cards, display it on a screen, or share it digitally. When guests scan it, their phone opens a browser page where they can instantly upload photos and selfies.
That is entirely up to you. You can set your gallery to public so everyone can browse and enjoy the photos together, or keep it private so only you can view and manage the uploads. You have full control.
Your photos stay safe in your gallery for the duration of your plan. Free plans keep photos for 7 days, Standard for 6 months, Premium for 12 months, and Deluxe stores them permanently. You can download everything or export directly to Google Photos at any time.
There is no guest limit on any plan. Whether you have 20 guests or 500, everyone can scan the same QR code and upload as many photos as they like. The only limit on the Free plan is total photo count (100 photos).
